In 1993 at Public School 72 in Brooklyn, New York, I served as a role model on Puerto Rican Role Model Day. I was a consultant in 1993 at New York City Public School 4 (Brooklyn) and I set up workshops for autistic children and provided staff training - funded by the Fleet Bank.
In 1997 I was awarded an Artist-In-Residency Grant from the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, New York.
In 1998 I received a grant from Robert Rauschenberg through Change, Inc. - a non-profit organization in New York City which assists artists.
